Biography
Giulia Balsarin is a fashion designer and artist based in Italy, passionate about the captivating realms of both fashion and art. She is pleased to welcome you to her creative world: WIEDIART.
Fashion and art are her life's blood. Her journey into fashion came later in life, after completing a Bachelor's Degree in foreign languages. This unconventional path has infused her design aesthetic with a unique perspective, blending cultural influences into her work.
Art, however, has been her lifelong companion. She developed her art skills as a self-taught artist, drawing from the time she was very little. Over the years, this passion has blossomed into a multi-faceted artistic journey, where she embraces various techniques and media to give voice to her creativity and to convey emotions.
Whether it's through watercolours, coloured pencils, acrylics, inks or digital art, she thrives on the freedom to explore, believing that true creativity knows no bounds. Her canvas isn't limited to traditional surfaces. She finds herself drawn to the allure of unconventional materials like fabrics and leather, where she transforms them into unique, wearable works of art. What truly excites her is the fusion of fashion and art, where she can seamlessly merge her two passions.
Giulia has been shortlisted during Fida 7th Award and her poster has been selected among the Fida in Paris Poster Prize winners.
She is regularly commissioned to create illustrations and item customisations and she is open to commissions and collaborations.
