Tamiyo Hashimoto

Biography

Fashion illustrator and artist.
I hold a degree in Industrial Design (Visual Communication) from Universidade Mackenzie, and I further refined my artistic skills through courses in drawing, illustration, and comic art. Since moving to Japan (Brazilian born), I’ve continued my artistic journey with sketching studies and more than 8 years of practice in sumi-e, the Japanese art of ink painting. This discipline deeply resonates with my admiration for Coco Chanel’s philosophy that “less is more,” as it seeks to
capture the essence of a subject with just a few elegant strokes.
I also solidified my commitment to pursuing a career in illustration taking on line fashion illustration courses at FIDA and UAL (University of the Arts London)
My work often blends Western design sensibilities with Japanese minimalism, resulting in illustrations that feel refined, expressive, and timeless.
Today, I collaborate with brands and individuals who are looking for artwork that combines storytelling and artistry. Whether it’s fashion illustration, editorial projects, or bespoke commissions, I strive to create visuals that are not only beautiful but also meaningful.
