Biography
Vanessa Van Meerhaeghe is a contemporary painter and illustrator based in Ronse, Belgium. She studied fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent and had a successful career as both a fashion designer and an illustrator for several Belgian brands.
However, two years ago, Vanessa made the decision to transition into a full-time visual artist. While her primary focus is painting, she also takes on commercial and editorial projects. Her work often features portraits influenced by today's fashion icons, showcasing her background in fashion design.
Nature serves as a significant inspiration for Vanessa's artwork. She finds inspiration in the beauty of landscapes, which she explores through hiking trips and international voyages. The vibrant colors and organic forms found in nature often find their way into her paintings, bringing them to life.
