Biography

As a fashion illustrator I am drawn to strong colours, silhouettes, and textures and this informs my work in both digital and traditional media. I love fashion and clothing in all forms and after studying Textile Design, Fashion Design and Design Management in the UK I worked in the industry as a designer for several years before moving into Fashion & Textiles education.
When creating in traditional media I enjoy experimenting and combining materials including acrylic paints, ink, pen, and pencil. I use offbeat colour and mark-making to create expressive pieces focusing mainly on fashion figures with some portraiture. Digital work can also develop in different ways in response to the subject working with Adobe packages and Procreate to create bold images and short animations. My practice continues to develop as I spend more time working out what my creative voice is, honing techniques and enjoying the tensions between my digital and traditional work.
In 2020 I completed projects for clients in the music industry which are due to be released in 2021. I was also a longlisted illustrator for the FIDA/Peter Dundas competition in early 2020, as well as independently selling prints and originals online.
