Biography

Armand Cordero, a practising artist and designer specialising in illustration, animation, and visual communication, explores a passion for content creation and image-making throughout his diverse practice, encompassing graphic illustration, moving image, observational drawing, collage, ceramics, and mixed media. His interest in fashion illustration stems from themes of identity, personal development, diversity, cultural expression, storytelling, and wearable art. Armand was selected as the winner of the Animator & Social Media Content Creator of the Year at the 8th Fida Awards in 2023.

Armand completed an Art Foundation and Illustration Animation BA from Kingston School of Art, utilising his expertise as an illustrator, animator, and designer for clients such as Archer's Mark, Blinkink, Keep or Destroy, Art History in Schools, and the Naked Heart Foundation. In personal projects, he integrates haiku poems, inspired by freelance animation projects, into his design process.

Armand educates at Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, teaching Visual Communication and Multi-Media Practice on the BA Fashion Communication & Industry Practice. He leads Fashion Illustration for the BA Creative Options Module, and also lectures on the Vogue Fashion Foundation Programme and various Vogue Summer School courses. Extending his impact to Godalming College, Armand teaches Graphic Design, Art, and Ceramics.

With a commitment to continuous professional development, he holds a PGCE from the University of Greenwich and is pursuing an Illustration MA at Falmouth University. Through his comprehensive approach, Armand strives to empower individuals with the skills and inspiration they need to express their creativity.
