Courtney Chiang is a designer, tailor, and illustrator living and working out of Los Angeles, CA. For as long as she can remember, art has always been a part of her life. At a young age she loved to sketch as a hobby, always taking school art projects maybe a little too seriously, and as she grew older it was a form of escape and meditation. A high school art teacher encouraged her to look into art school rather than a traditional college, and Courtney took her advice. Courtney graduated from Otis College of Art and Design in 2010 with a BFA in Fashion Design, and immediately began working as a fashion designer in LA. Over the next decade, throughout the many ups and downs of being a designer in the industry, her love of art remained constant. Today, Courtney combines her love of both fashion and art, focusing on fashion portraiture. She enjoys capturing the strength, beauty, and diversity of the female face, and the fantastical nature of fashion, while experimenting in different mediums and methods of creation.
