Biography
Kate Gorbenko is a Ukrainian fashion illustrator and Graphic designer (currently Brand Designer at Booking.com), based in Amsterdam. She’s recognised for an expressive line drawing technique in combination with abstract textures and detailed objects or shapes. The list of her clients includes Nike, Vogue Czechoslovakia, L’Officiel Ukraine, L’Officiel Hommes, ZOO Magazine, Milk X Magazine, Havana Club, and others. Kate is 3x Fida Worldwide Awards finalist and a finalist in Harper’s Bazaar Ukraine Fashion Forward contest 2017.
At the beginning of her artist journey, Kate used exclusively classic methods of drawing, preferring paper, pencils, and watercolour painting. In the past 3 years, she dedicated herself to mastering digital illustrations.
Currently, a lot of her digital works are hardly distinguishable from paper illustrations. Kate is constantly on the lookout for new mediums and techniques and continues to experiment with digital formats and animations.
