Biography

My name is Khrystyna Barabanova. I am an aspiring illustrator based in Stockholm, Sweden. I have been shaping my art vision through various forms of media, including digital techniques and vector illustration.
I was born and raised in East Ukraine. After graduating from Donetsk National Technical University in 2012, I started my career as a motion designer at STB TV channel and moved to Kyiv. But 3 years later I decided to make the switch to an art career. I chose European Design School to study fine arts and pursued freelance illustrator career. I worked with dozens of clients from across the globe. During 2015 - 2016 I took a part as a storyboard artist in a variety of animation projects for the Blue Ocapi Studio and short movie "Must Escape" directed by Vadym Shapran. 
In 2016 I took part in a few game projects for mobile and PC platforms as a concept artist. 
After moving to Sweden in 2018, I joined Glorious Games team as a full-time illustrator for the Stardoll fashion game . Since then I am highly interested in fashion history and illustration. I discovered a whole new world of watercolour fashion sketching and I am sharing my art progress in the social media.
