Nikita Mohindra

Biography

After working for cosmetic conglomerates, Estée Lauder Companies and L’Oreal, I was left inspired by high-end fashion and figurative Art.

With a particular interest in human rights, the freedom of speech and female expressionism, I left the Legal sphere in 2022 to explore these interests and to channel my artistic direction further.

I completed a figurative painting course with the Art Academy London and most recently my work was published in the largest Brooklyn-born Feminist publication – ‘FEMINIST’. My Artistic scope can be found within a range of mediums where I enjoy exploring figurative aspects, particularly from a feminist viewpoint. In February 2023, I was given a seat at London Fashion Week to illustrate the catwalk and capture key runway looks, backstage.

I possess curiosity and respect for women of color and their personal narratives. Their stories can be found within the textures of my expressive brush strokes which serve to represent personal development resulting from adversity. I also enjoy exploring the cognitive mind through abstract pieces, demonstrating the complexity and rebellious attitudes of females in Western society.
