Biography

In fashion illustration, experimentation is an integral part of Nikita's work process, she has varied styles of artworks from being raw to soft and everything in between, depicting mood with imposing colours palettes, come together from intuitive thoughts leading to creations of artworks, illustrations and concepts. Different art mediums are used in her work ranging from water colours, pencil colours to digital mediums like Adobe Photoshop and Blender 3D.

She has worked on multidisciplinary fashion projects: designed embroidaries and merchandised for fashion export houses catering to high end fashion brands from around the world, also designed origami garments for premium Indian wallpaper brands like Nilaya by Sabyasachi for Asian Paints to be showcased at fashion shows and award functions. She has also worked in fashion shows backstage as well as walked on the ramp of Asia's first and largest kids fashion week, I.e., India Kids Fashion Week, as a child model. She has also worked in research, documentation and future prospects of one of the Indian handicrafts: Punjabi Jutti (Indian footwear). One of her garments from her graduation project was also selected to be showcased at Fashion Design Council of India's Lotus Fashion Week in New Delhi.
