Biography
My background is in fashion design, having a MA from Central Saint Martins, London.
I have worked within the fashion industry and also lectured in fashion Design and textiles at DJCAD University of Dundee for 10 years. I still tutor and work commercially.
Having a background in fashion helps with understanding construction of the garment and my knowledge of fabrics help in my illustrative work.
I currently live and work in Dubai. My exhibitions have been mostly within this region – Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. I have been involved with two online exhibitions, one with Fida and the other, The Whisper Gallery UK.
Recently I worked with EXPO 2020 (2021/2) Dubai, creating the illustrations and working with the costumier for the dancers performing at the EXPO.
I have illustrated my own fashion colouring book and also two children’s books. All of these have been published.
Some of my work has appeared in magazines such as – Goldfoil Mag, Darkus Mag, Original Mag, Escape Art Mag, Lazin UK, Checkout Mag.
I have a page in The Fible 2022.
The mediums I use are watercolour, acrylic, inks, oils and soft pastels.
